QUALIFYING SMALL ENTERPRISES
Qualifying Small Enterprises are SMEs with annual turnaround of between R10 million and R50 million. QSEs need to comply with all 5 BBBEE elements according to their industry code.
QSE BEE Levels and Scorecard:
- Qualifying Small Enterprises which 100% black ownership are deemed to be BBBEE Level 1, with 135% procurement recognition. A sworn affidavit must be completed.
- QSEs with over 51% black ownership qualify for BBBEE Level 2, with a 125% procurement rating. A sworn affidavit must be completed.
- QSEs with black ownership less than 51% need to be measured according to their industry codes.
