Tristan Nortje Takes First Place at the Ford Trailseeker!

On Saturday, 7 September, our Honeycomb Pro Cyclers set off on their mountain bikes yet again, this time in the picturesque town of Wellington. Wellington’s classic wineland beauty and Western Cape terrain meant that all 63km of the race were both a challenge and a site to behold. 

This installment of the Ford Trailseeker series had a total elevation of 1600m, putting riders, their physical endurance, and their mental determination to the test. Team Honeycomb had a smaller line-up for this race, with Marc Pritzen and Tristan Nortje taking up the challenge and doing Team Honeycomb proud. Tristan delivered a standout performance, winning the race with an electric finish.

Tristan conquored the race in an impressive 2 hours and 23 minutes, claiming first place with a heart-pounding 1-second lead amidst some fierce competition. Although Marc didn’t finish the race, his unwavering presence and commitment are qualities we deeply admire. The dedication of Marc, Tristan, and the other members of  Team Honeycomb is what drives our continued success and keeps us delivering results.

Although the Team Honeycomb representation at the Wellington Ford Trailseeker was small, we were reminded of how incredibly fortunate we are to have such committed and skilled riders brandishing the Honeycomb name. We celebrate Tristan’s victory in Wellington, but more than that, we celebrate the team, who consistently hold each other up and create an environment that fosters success.
